Io francamente spero nella pioggia.
A mio avviso potrebbe essere forse l'unica opzione che potrebbe ribaltare le cose.

E ci spero non solo per domani.
D'altronde e' anche giusto che su 18 gare ce ne siano 3/4 bagnate per vedere chi e' il pilota piu' completo.
Ergo, dopo una calda estate io spero vivamente in un autunno piovoso.
Perlomeno dove si corre...

la mia impressione è che Valentino aveva rallentato per far passare Marquez, poi quando Marquez è caduto ci ha messo un po' per riprendere il ritmo... non è facile sul bagnato rimettersi a girare 2 secondi più forte

Valentino Rossi has regained the lead in the MotoGP championship with victory in a dramatic wet race at Silverstone, while Jorge Lorenzo lost vital ground in the title fight after being pushed out by Danilo Petrucci and Andrea Dovizioso.

The Movistar Yamaha rider mastered the treacherous conditions in driving rain after taking the lead from Lorenzo in the opening stages while his closest rival Marc Marquez crashed out on lap 13 to all put end his revival in the championship battle.

Octo Pramac Ducati's Danilo Petrucci had the ride of his life to take a maiden MotoGP rostrum in second and even had a shot at Rossi after reeling in the leader in the closing stages. Andrea Dovizioso made it a near-perfect day for the Italian manufacturer by taking the final podium place ahead of Lorenzo.

In another Rossi win full of high drama it was a nightmare day for Honda, who had three riders in the top six in the opening stages but after multiple crashes Dani Pedrosa represented the top Honda in fifth place.

Marquez suffered a slip coming around Copse corner at the start of lap 13 while chasing Rossi in second and his Repsol Honda bike flicked him off, which promoted Petrucci and Dovizioso on to the podium.

Cal Crutchlow had his dreams of a first MotoGP podium at his home event destroyed by his LCR Honda team-mate Jack Miller. The rookie got an electric start off the line from 16th to battle into the top five but attempted an extravagant move down the inside of Crutchlow from a long distance back and failed to control his entry into Vale to low-side and collect his team-mate who was a passenger.

The wet conditions caused havoc for many of the riders who showed promising race pace earlier in the weekend in the dry.

Scott Redding, who announced a new deal to move to Pramac Ducati for 2016 on the morning of the race, grabbed his best result of 2015 in sixth to finish top British rider ahead of his fellow countryman Bradley Smith in seventh.

Andrea Iannone took a low-key eighth place ahead of Aleix Espargaro, while Alvaro Bautista rounded out the top ten.

The original race start had to be red flagged as the weather took a dramatic turn moments before the start. After initially being declared a dry race the rain fell much heavier during the warm-up lap and every rider returned to the pits to change to the wet set-up and race direction aborted the start.

Valentino Rossi: “Quando ho visto che Marc era caduto ho rallentato un po’ perché credevo di avere abbastanza margine. Ma queste sono le corse, non puoi mai rilassarti. Speravo che Petrucci non rischiasse troppo perché comunque stava per cogliere il suo primo podio, comunque mi sono adattato bene e sono riuscito a difendermi”.

Danilo Petrucci: “Non capivo perché Valentino si avvicinasse così tanto, ma poi la pioggia è aumentata ed è anche rientrato Dovi. Alla fine ho visto che avevo margine ed ho cominciato a sorridere dentro al casco. È un sogno”.

Andrea Dovizioso: “È stata dura, la pioggia continuava a cadere più forte e la gomma posteriore è calata molto durante la gara. Danilo è un cagnaccio, frenava tardissimo e devo fargli i complimenti. Questo podio è molto importante per noi, sono contento di arrivare a Misano dopo una prestazione del genere”.

Ragazzi.... più di così non potevo fare..... (caduta di Marquez a parte che non avrei mai voluto.... uffa!!)

Lorenzo fa la vittima con la storia del casco ma io... non ci casco. 6 meno.
Pedrosa come sempre non riesce a imporsi nei duelli, mannaggia perché mi è simpatico ma dovrebbe aggiungere del peperoncino alla sua dieta...

Lorenzo pensava di buttare giù il poker di assi ma Vale aveva la scala reale. Zing!
Il mondiale è ancora lungo, comunque questa è una vittoria che conta tantissimo.

Valentino Rossi turned the tables on team-mate and title rival Jorge Lorenzo with victory at a wet and wild British MotoGP.

But the Italian faced a shock late challenge from Danilo Petrucci after 'relaxing' too much following Marc Marquez's accident with eight laps to go.

Lorenzo and Marquez dominated the dry practice sessions at Silverstone, but race day rain swung the balance in Rossi's favour - the Italian quickest in warm-up.

“This morning when I woke up and saw the rain, I didn't know if it was good news or not because during this season we don't have a lot of data for the wet,” said Rossi, who began the race fourth on the grid and tied with Lorenzo at the top of the championship standings.

“But I think the work of my team made the difference and also my Yamaha was fantastic. From the first lap in warm-up we found a good balance and I was very strong.”

There was a further twist when the weather improved and riders lined up on slicks - only for a rain shower to force the start to be delayed as the entire grid dived into the pits on the sighting lap.

“On the grid I was quite scared because it was the worst conditions possible; cold, a little bit of rain, starting on slicks and a fast track,” Rossi said.

“So I was happy that it started to rain more on the warm-up lap. From that point I knew I had the pace.”

Rossi was challenging the two leading Spaniards by the end of the opening lap, passing them both on lap 2 of 20. But he couldn't shake off Marquez.

“I made a good start and tried to go but Marc came with me,” Rossi said. “I could hear him, tried the maximum and set very good lap times but it was very difficult to take an advantage.

“So I thought it would go down to the last lap with Marc again, which is always very difficult!”

The last time Rossi and Marquez fought for the lead they collided at the final turn of the Dutch TT. This time there was to be no such showdown, with Marquez thrown from his Honda with eight laps to go.

“I saw him in the gravel on the big screen and I couldn't hear him behind me, so I relaxed. Also because it was raining more,” Rossi said.

That should have handed Rossi a safe fourth win of the season, but one challenger was soon replaced by another with countryman Danilo Petrucci riding the race of his life.

“Sincerely I expected to have eight-seconds of advantage over Petrucci, but when I crossed the line I had just four seconds. I thought 'hummm, ok'. Then the next lap, three seconds.”

Rossi's lead continued to decrease until the Pramac Ducati rider was just 1.5s behind.

“My mistake was that I relaxed for one lap, because I thought I had more of an advantage. Also I didn't want to throw everything away and it started to rain more,” Rossi said.

“But this is MotoGP - you can never relax: In every situation, in every practice, people want to beat you.

“I did the calculation and with five laps still to go Danilo could beat me. So I had to restart and push again. It was a crucial moment and also I think Danilo didn't want to throw away the first podium of his career. So I stayed concentrated, the bike helped me a lot and afterwards I saw he gave up [on the win].”

The Doctor was able to rebuild some of his advantage and took the chequered flag with a three-second victory margin. With Lorenzo only fourth, Rossi has now rebuilt a twelve point title lead.

“I'm very happy and proud of this victory, it's a great feeling! I think that the last race on the wet that I won was ten years ago," said Rossi. “This victory is so important because sincerely speaking in the dry I think it was difficult to arrive in front of Jorge.”

Round 13 of 18 will be Rossi's home round at Misano, where he claimed victory one year ago.
